03 TL fog light switch and rear turn signal mod

Two questions:

1) I just installed two rear turn signal lights (white) after tinting my brake lights. I had to force them in because the tabs didn't line up. I was about to abandon and return them but to my surprise the lights worked with my hazards being on. Come to find out that when I use them as blinkers, they blink really fast. Checked all of them, they all work. These are LEDs so is there anyway to disable that feature? Is it because the tabs aren't lining up or just because they are aftermarket?

2) Foglights. I put two aftermarket LED bulbs in there. They work great, though they are dependant on the headlights being on. I saw a YouTube video to modify then so that they turn on with the parking lights by tapping those two wires together leading to the switch behind the driver console. That's one option, but I'd like to know if there is any feasible way to make them work independently? Perhaps if I tap off the 12v constant to the input of that switch for the Foglights. Oh man, I think I just figured it out.

1.you'll need resistors in there to stop the hyper blinking.

2. look up independent fog light DIY: https://www.google.com/search?q=site...sm=93&ie=UTF-8

Awesome. Thanks for the response. I can imagine resistors come inside OEM bulbs, is there anyway to get a resistor into this setup?

Solder a set in parallel to the bulb
