Yellow (GS Colored) Fogs 9006/HB4

Where to get? What brand, wattage (prefer 51W), and how much?

Thanks,

That's a tough one.

Hi Tech Import Lighting sells some PIAA ones that are NOT inexpensive ($80) and also not DOT approved. Only place I could find.

Good luck, and if you do go that route, let us know how it went.

Arrow Ordered some APC ones...

Ordered some APC amber bulbs. But a friend said they are like PIAA ones (funny colored coating) which means they appear white with yellow only on the ground-- NOT GOOD for me. They were only $25.50 including shipping from autobarn.com. Worth a try I guess, maybe they will look good. Where are those cheap painted bulbs when you need them?

What would be DOT approved?

DOT approved means...? Must be 51W? The APC ones were 55W. I checked the temperature difference by touch of 55W(PIAA) and 51W(stock) on a friend's car and it feels the same, burns my hand to the touch, not any more of a burn from the 55W though. No wonder why Acura put the metal along the sides of the foglight edges for heat disipation and probably so it doesnt melt the bumper where it touches.

I've been looking for the same kind of effect. Found out that Lexus doesn't use colored bulbs, they use a regular halogen bulb but the housing has a yellow reflector in it. So thats what gives it the radiant yellow light.

If anyone finds a resonable alternative please post the info for the rest of us!! Thanks!1
