year to date sales
Lexus 162,343
BMW 160,484
MB 150,752
Acura 127,196
Volvo 104,150
Audi 63,658
It looks like BMW has taken over the 2nd place and is approaching the leading Lexus.
The top 3 are still on pace for 200,000 units. However, with the recent slow down, I doubt mercedes would make it. It seems like Mercedes buyers are taking home BMW has their budget buy, psychologically, of course.
Acura might make it to 200k club next 2 years is TL, RL redesigns are good. RSX sold very well, but the volume is low compared to TL.

Wow, scary when you realize that Camrys and Accords sell about 400,000 units alone ! Incidentally, Lexus has announced that they will be scaling back their car volume as well as their dealerships in order to maintain exclusivity within the brand. It would be nice to see all luxury dealers do this in order to maintain prestige in ownership of these vehicles, as it is, every other car now seems to be a 3 series, RX300, C class, or a TL on the road.
