YEAH! first long trip!

well, its only 800 miles total, from Los Angeles to San Frasisco and back in 2 days, left thursday afternoon and came back friday night.

car feels great, on the way to to SF there was some gusty wind blowing in from east, which made the car feel unstable at a speeds around 90-100(cars is toatally stock, even tires), the trip took aobut 5 and a helf hour each way with average speed of 80mph. the more i dirve the more i found my self seating in a up right position, i'm 6 feet and this car can sure use a little more head room , overall back support was great. very comfortable. :p

looking at the mileage and the navi's trip calculation i really think my car would have made the trip without stopping to get gas (one way), but since my girlfriend had to pee, there was no point in taking a risk. so i added 5 gallon of "2.05 dollar per gallon gas" each way.

this is one hell of a car, it now hwas 24600 miles on it, bought it back in mid october of 2000

only probelm is that the tranny is getting jerkier from reverse to D4 when getting out of my house in the morning, and the lower left portion of the auto dimmer mirror dont dim any more, ghtta go see the dealer.

I know how you feel. Our TL is a great highway cruiser. I took my TL down to Florida 2 years ago and the drive was great going and coming.

BTW, you could've made it on a full tank of gas one way. I know cause I got ~420 miles on a full tank of gas driving down to FL.
