XM or Sirius Mounting Locations
I was thinking of installing a satellite radio in my TL. I just can't come up with a good place to mount it. I like the programming on sirius better, however I like the tuners from XM better (the delphi roady in particular).
So I'm still torn, probably won't get either, since I can't find a good place to mount it, and just recently sprung for a V1. It's been a great few weeks, got my first ticket at $183, no points after sitting in court for 3 hours, (hence the newly aquired V1) Also got in a small accident, about $2k of front end damage, luckily no damage to other vehicle, so there goes another $500 to my deductable.
But I would like to hear/see where others have installed their tuners. I want to keep the factory head unit since I really like my 6 disk in dash. So I was planning on using the adapter from blitzsafe.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Dave

see my sig for pics--I have the car kit with blitzsafe adaptor, home kit, and the boombox for the office. XM everywhere and only one subscription fee!
Also, check out XMFAN.COM--there are a few other TL owners there.

i have the kenwood fm mod sirius on my TL..and i put my display right in the center of the worthless cd holder..similar to what fsstyms1 did in his pic..i just centered mine.. : )..but i havent listened to a cd since i put mine in..but soon hope to have a kvt -911 screen to direct connect my sirius and lose the fm mod for better sound quality..but i personally would go with sirius over the xm..coming from someone who sells them daily sirius has better sound technology and almost zero dropouts ..(mine has dropped out once in 4 months and that was in a wooded country area..)..also the fact of 60 music channels 100% commercial free is worth an extra $3 to me...

Looks good... Anyone with Nav have any pictures? I should have specified... seems like everyone put it over the CD drawer that I don't have.
I was really hoping to find a clever place to mount it so it looks like it belongs... I'm not a big fan of just sticking it to the dash somewhere...
