LOL... I actually dont like GTI, Mini Cooper, Or any of those gay other cars.. Even though between all of these Si is the slowest, The SI is the best looking! Also theres a Type R Version of the Civic Coming out in Hatchback that should be nice too!

Not to hijack this thread...but when I debate about cars, I'd like to keep it in the time frame of NOW. Sure the typeR might be the best (woulda, coulda, shoulda), but who knows what else will be out when it comes? Besides...like we both agreed apon...IF I HAD TO...my choice is a GTI purely because it's a V6. A lightly modded VR6 should be able to walk away from us.

There's some tight hatches out there these days (my opinion). And some of them got some real go, like the Civic Type R (200hp), the GTI 337 (180hp, with nice seats and suspension), VW R32 (GTI w/ 3.2L DOHC VR6 @ about 240hp, and AWD), Cooper S (163 supercharged HP), and the RSX type S. These are all nice for people that are lookin for lotta go for less $$. Whatevaz, TL still rules!

the 1.8T GTI can keep up...stock it runs a low 15 possibly high 14. With a simple chip mid 14's and good drivers are in the low14's. There is one chip that can get the car to about 210-215 crank hp and close to 250 lbs ft of toque. Enough power to chirp on just about any and spin all the way to redlin in second gear. It's also a pretty good bang for the buck car if you like hatchbacks.

I love the look of a black GTI with smoked tail lights! I'm not a hatchback guy myself but I like the look of the GTIs as well.
