wrecked my TL
I was driving on Union Hill Rd which is a wide one lane rd towards my house when the car infront decides to make a left into a local mini mall, they move towards the line and slow down, keep in mind they didn't signal which way they were going, well stupid ass me decided to go around them when they went to make the left, at the last second they decided to take a right instead and sideswipes me, i lose control of my car hop the curb and run into some bushes. I didn't even bother to argue cause I knew that when i tried to go around them i was at fault. my front fender and my door is damaged from the truck hitting me, my bumper got torn off and i think theres some damage to the frame and to some shit under the car, the hood and right side is scratched up from the bushes, and to top that my battery dies cause the driver side door doesn't close all the way now and the lights stayed on inside and out. I ended up getting a ticket for careless driving cause it was my fault. Now I know technically I was at fault but I pay cause this asshole doesn't want to signal where he's going and is stopping and driving in the middle of the rd cause he's friggin a idiot?? I wouldn't be so pissed if he got a ticket too for failure to signal or something but he gets off scotch free and I gotta take it in the ass with insurance cause of this. nobody was hurt except a bump in the head from me but is there any way I can go to court and fight this?? I know I prob don't but any cops on this board know how to at least get them to pay alittle?? I am sooo pissed right now, poor cars in my driveway all tore up, the cop wouldn't even let me drive it home after it was pulled out of the bushes, and to top that, they charge me 40 to get it out of the bushes and 90 to tow it a ****in 2 blocks to my house.

Talk about careles drioving tickets in NJ, i got one of those about 7 years ago next month> I was going to an ex gf house when i get around the corner from her house and i slide on some sluch and smash into 2 parked cars. 1st was a 84 datsun 280z in perfect condition adn then a shitty bmw 5 series probally from the 80s too. Man i got the ticket adn was like why, it wasnt my fauslt, but i guess u have to get a ticket if u hit something. WHo knows

Mafioso...take a court case. Plead no contest, meaning I did it but there was extenuating circumstances. Explain to the judge that the other vehicle had his left turn signal on and you passed him on the right, knowing his intentions by his signaling. The judge more than likely will throw it out. If you spend the time to argue something like that the court they should realize there was more to this than an error in your judgement.

i just looked at my car in the daylight and i almost cried, its pretty bad, the front door and fender is all pushed in and the front end looks like a tossed salad. i'll take pics when i get a chance, shiiit man!! I was 2 blocks from my house when i happened!!!

You might be able to fight it in court because the officer was not thereto witness the accident... I think in some states.. if you cause an accident, the officer is required to write a ticket... my sister had one of these and got off when she went to court... good luck and your car will get better :-/

just got a call late last week and they gave me the vin to get insurance and shit on it before it arrives, but after they pay for this accident damn i dunno what its gonna cost. BTW streetz, now that i'm gettin a new bumper and a fresh start on what to do with it any suggestions on the mesh your makin for me??

You shouldn't have admitted to the accident being your fault, it WASN'T!!!
I had similar situation and got their insurance company to pay 50% of the bill... which actually paid for a complete fix!!!
All you should've said was that the guy was making a left turn with the blinker on and everything and you had just started to pass him on the right... not 100% his fault but not 100% yours either...
Good luck anyway...

i never admitted to the cop or the other person it was my fault even though technically it was cause its a one lane rd and i shouldn't be passing. What did you do to get them to go half on the bill?? Is there still a way they can still be partially at fault?
BTW Bigmonkey what happened to your TL man?? I guess we'll just have to take the NSX out for the week now

I brought my car in for service and as i change lane and almost half way inside their drive way and BAM, the jeep got my passenger side rear door .... my car spin and hit a snow bank..... Lot's of damage. The rear right door push it big time ... the suspension got damage ... my body kit forget it. On my side, both door was minor mess up. the front bumper is gone too.... The only part that was not touch is my hood and the trunk lit. The good thing is the engine was untouch. All my video/audio equipment is still OK... even the neon is still working.
My first estimate .... 12K
I brought my car in for service and as i change lane and almost half way inside their drive way and BAM, the jeep got my passenger side rear door .... my car spin and hit a snow bank..... My frame is also bent. My rear right control arm got push in, the rear right wheel actually at an angle. It's still drivable but definitely not safe. and my rear right windows broke too. I already took some pictures. Will post it tonight.

All I did is plead my side of the story to my insurance company and blamed the other guy. And I went ahead and went to the other guy's insurance company pleading for them to do an appraisal on my car since it WAS NOT my fault and that they should be paying for my damages. I was going for the full payment but they only agreed to half after about 6 month of going back and forth...
Give them a call and explain how it was the other guys fault, and use lots of details of how he showed you he WAS making a left but at the last second decided to ram you...
