show your dad this post and tell him that your car turning off isnt BS. i know i wouldnt believe shit you told me if you were my son and you had been in 2 accident sin one month. Let him know that there is a recall on the car, register with acura owner link and check to see if the ignition switch had been replaced or pm 01tl4tl and ask him the number for acura and ask them. if you can prove that it was the cars fault, then you may have a better chance, and as for the 7 kids in the back seat of a corolla that could be a BIG DEal. good luck and just relax, its a car ACCIDENT.

on the ignition switch. Similar thing almost happened to me when I had my acura but i was able to stop the car. There was a good distance between me and the car in front but I still had to press the brake as hard as i could to stop.

also get some data on the Car that the lady had, and also their driving record....trust me you can contact the DMV to get this stuff...
you can prove negligence from the other party, your insurance will have to battle it out with theirs...
and i'd recommend that your file another 'amended accident report" with all this information
not only is it negligence but it can be considered endangerment of life. 7 people in a 5 seater??? and 2 kids...that my friend is called a mini-bus!!

acura owner registration
https://www.ahm-ownerlink.com/login.asp?brand=acura
acura customer care- 1-800-382-2238 x5 6am to 5 pm pacific time

If you are driving a 99 make a printout if the ignition switch info

People- Insurance has investigators and resources to get the info on the other driver-

make sure you file the ameded report with all the info you gathered in here.
Let them do their job or you could be interfering.
In the end though- you were the car doing the hitting- you are at fault for not allowing sufficient following distance regardless of anything else.

ig switch wont throw a code
Ask them to take the car out for a drive and replicate the scene- what speed-turning and braking-

There could be a short in the steering wheel wiring area that caused a cut out too
Had that happen on the race car once- wouldnt start after driver change in endurance race- tilt steering wheel had pinched a wire~~

But you never did say if the engine was running after impact, or if it was off and all the dash warning lights were on like when you go to start the car?

hahaha gosh u would never guess!!! lol.. im not stereotyping so use the process of elimination based on ur opinions.. and to tell you the truth i dont think the car was on after i hit the lady... i remember putting the car into p and just flipping the ignition off but not feelingg the car shutoff like usual... but then again i am not 100 percent sure so it could have been on but the shock could have over come me and me just not know wheteher it turned off or not.. but yea.. umm its beeing repaired... i am getting a new ignition swith... harness and yea we will see what happens.. insurance company is gonna kik my ass tomoro when i talk to them as well =(!!! ahh.. o well not much yu can do rite??? hopefully acuracare can cover the costs of theses repairs??? is that possible? i highly doubt but its all good, maybe they can atleast help me a little on this situation.

If your ignition switch is BEING replaced, make sure you get a written note or notarized letter that the switch itself could of lead to loss in steering and braking, etc...
