nope, cuz the rear bulbs are already covered by an opaque piece of plastic that hides some of the amber, and i'm satisfied with that already.

haha Wil, the rear still shows a hint of orange.

I bought myself a pair yesterday. I noticed all the crap they carried. uggh...

I noticed they came in red, blue, purple, amber, and superwhite. I at first bought the superwhite, but it was too dim to even be "superwhite", so I exchanged for the orange ones. I'm satisfied with them. But I still noticed a orange hue in the housing. The superwhites covered everything well in silver. Oh well. Looks pretty good IMO!

Just put the APC bulbs, and it looks good, however, light output is noticeably lower than a regular amber 1157 bulb.

I had to also go to 3 different pepboys to find these and they were the last pair too . Lucky me. They look great! who cares if they are APC, they are just 6 dollar bulbs.

I agree. Who cares, it's just a bulb. if it was for 20 bucks, then that's a different story. Also, for your '02+ owners w/ clear lights, what bulb did you use under the turn signal(194 type bulb)? I was gonna get a orange bulb, but it'll show. But it seems thats the only option right now. Superwhite on the bottom doesn't match the orange on top. Nor does a normal "white bulb" Are there any LED Type orange bulb?

i tried, but it seems impossible to get an even coat. i've messed up three pairs of bulbs already trying. and however i do it, however light a coat i try to spread, it still leaves it uneven, and so it lights up brighter in some areas and u see specks of uneven lighting.

silver paint coated bulb:

What if you dipped the bulb, then it might be even.

Gotta put a little paint thinner and you'll be all good. I did these to all my bulbs and its been all good. Nice and even, and still bright enough. I paid 4.90 at NAPA for the mod for paint.

Oh sorry for the delay fellas. I don't post here often. I filled a cup with silver paint and paint thinner. Get a good mixture going. I'd like to say 50/50 mix but you just have to mess around with it so it may end up 60/40. Then you dip! Hopes it turns out good for your guys. I'll try to post some pics or how-to's if I do another set.

I picked up some of the APC bulbs. To anyone that hasn't gotten them yet, be careful how you handle them, the paint comes off easily >:\
they do look much better then the stock bulbs though
