Do you guys know if we can just buy a 1 ft long piece of the fake wood and put it on the steering wheel in the same place as the oem wheel would look. I cant justify paying 3 to 400 for a steering wheel . Id it poss guys?

 

You cannot buy the fake wood anywhere. The furthest along in my search that I got, was a reply from one of the websites that cuts the kits. He said that he buys it in a roll 50 feet long. He wasn't willing to sell me a strip of it. He said I wouldn't be able to cut it, and it didn't have the clear gloss coat on it yet.

You can get the Accord trim ring for the wheel. I am not sure, but I think that the wood is a match. Look into that. It is only $80.

 

Where can I get the Accord stuff?

 

There are several sites that have the trim rings. Look at www.exoticwooddash.com and call them. Again, don't quote me that it will fit. I am assuming that the Accord wheel is the same as my '99, so that is what I am going by. Check with them. They may not let you return it if it is wrong.

 

If you ask guys who have bought the wood wheels, they will tell you it is well worth the $$$$$.
