Wired Rotary Remote/ Steering Wheel
I've posted this in an Audio thread but not much response, and this is dealing more with the steering wheel anywayz:
Well, I have an Xplod HU, and i got annoyed of using the card remote all the time, so I decided to go with another option of getting a rotary commander which is basically a remote that has all the funtions but it is made so you dont have to look at it to use it and i want to attach it somewhere around the steering wheel.
Wireless remote
Wired Remote
I purchased the wireless remote first, great tool, but it sucks, the signals were barely reaching, and I mounted it on the side of the existing stock volume control, not too bad, but that had to go.
Now I wan to get a wired RM-R4S, and attach it in the same location as I did the wireless before....
now here is my question:
What mechanism is used to control the existing volume/cruise control wires? when you are turning the wheel, the wire turn? how does it work? Or is it based on touch connectors that are located at one position? I need to apply the same concept with installing the wired remote. In other words, I just want to run the wire, but how do I prevent it from tangling while turning the steering wheel.
Im ready for enlightenment.

i think my question is not clear enough,
Picture this in your head: The remote is attached on the side of the existing OEM volume control on the steering wheel. The wire from the remote runs down the steering colum, thru the back of the front console, and into the HU.
now how do i make sure that the wire from the remote on the steering column doesnt get tangled up while I am turning the steering wheel. What mechanism is currently used for stock volume control?
