Wing West Body Kit Installation HELP

undefined
Received my WW body kit which I ordered in Feb, their delay excuse was they could not manufacture the rear lower rap.

Now that I have it, I will install it next weekend, my question for anyone out there who can assist me in the installation of the side skirts, I have to remove the factory side skirts. Anyone out there have any instruction on this removal prior to doing the work. The existing mud flaps are easy to take off but what about the stock skirt

As WW was so organized they shipped me the kit without the hardware. The instruction I got on the net, calls for 30 #8 X 3/4" self tapping screw which I will get at Home Depot but they also have 2 "L" brackets, can I manufacture them as the instruction do not show what they look like in order to them up.

Anyone out there who has a WW kit help this 50 yr old Wild Cajun

Call them up and ask for the hardware. Don't go making your own hardware, 1) you're letting them get away with it. 2) you paid for it, might as well get it. 3) Your custom hardware might not be good in the long term (like it might fall off or not fit properly).

For instructions on how to remove the stock, download the OEM kit install instruction from the following link http://www.acurainspired.com/forums/...p?showforum=16
It has instruction on how to remove it.

My advice is to complain to WW and if you still can put a credit card disput if they don't send you the hardware.

I got so frustrated taking the factory skirts off, i ended up breaking all the white clips that hold the plastic in place.

They cost .50 cents each at acura parts.

Correct me if im wrong, theres 8 white clips on each side.

My Black Pearl is going to a Performance Parts Shop called Xtreme Sports on Monday who will do the installation and painting . It is his TL from West Wing but has installed lots on RX and Integra.

The urethane compound which the WW is made, has its challenges too as it is very flexible which creates a problem of its own so the installation could be done but the paint do not streatch this could screw the whole process when installing it.

THanks for the help hzm82 & Kman156 from the Wild Cajun

welcome! like you said the ww urethane is very flexible, so have your guy hit it hard w/ flex primer! hopefully you won't have any spider webs as time goes on. also, it's mainly the sideskirts that are the issue! i have had no problems with the rear or front lip paint spidering or doing anything else funky?

yup, i saw hige floppy plastic and i didnt wanna mess with it either, i just took it to a 1st Class shop in south FL. I just had no idea it was gonna cost me 960w/tax to prime paint and install!!! -apart from the 636shiped i spent on the kit-

The good thing is, its VERY HARD to BREAK...so if you crash (god forbid), unless you get runed over by a truck and die, the urethane will bend but not break so the repairs will be painting only.

for the side skirts 2 ppl is so much easier. once u remove all da plastic black tabs have one person place a piece of wood and the bang da wood with the hammer from the rear fender of the sideskrt and the other person pull the skirt out n toward the front of the car.

the sideskirts are the easiest to remove and install. Just take out the four screws on the bottom and push the sideskirt from the back of the car pushiing it forward towards the front it only took me about 20 minutes to install the sideskirts...I got the oem all around with WW back lip the ww back lip was the hardest to install its hard to getit perfectl straight....
