wider tires + increased drop + wheel spacers
I'd like to get some wider rims 7.5-8.0" with 235's. I'd also like to go with H&R Sports over the Tanabe's I have now for a little more of a drop. I'm pretty sure I'd have to get some wheel spacers for 235's to fit since I have little clearence in the front now with the 225's I'm running. Can you guys give me some feedback on your experiences running a similiar setup and did you have to get a camber kit because of the drop and spacers being used?

i can help on the springs (i only have type-s wheels) you will need a camber kit for the rear, but the front you can get away with out one, cause the h&r's have been on my car for 5-6 years and have sagged some in the front (had to drop the rear the notch on the bilsteins there on to try and level the car out) and it still only has 0.7 and 0.9 degrees of camber on it which is still within the factory tolerence range, (i need to swap the springs side to side to help even it out)
but if you do go for the front camber kit, i would get the ingalls' kit with the adjustable upper arms, cause i use to have adjustable ball joints on my 94 accord and because the ball joints are taller than factory they hit the strut tower when going over bigger bumps which was annoying

on my 01- with 8 inch wide 17 rims and 235/45/17s and others years as I as Im told on azine on diy
you will need to do a little mod to the rear fender clip to bumper connection- look at rear of fender lip and you can see what sticks out- also a little on the top edge of well needs a dremel taken to it- easy to do-- or the outer edge of tire will get scratch lines from contact on heavy cornering or bumps
225s are supposed to clear without mod front and rear, and thats whats going on with the new tires - I bought rims/tires of a ziner that had 235 generals on them and just dealt with the slight rub on full compression until they wear out
lowered 1.5 on teins SS camber front neg 1.1 and neg 1.4
rear neg 1.4 and 1.1
fronts got severe inner edge wear from alignment issue (wife drives car and didnt mention it was wandering for several months dededeeeee)
fronts are at the wear bars with 23kmiles- expected on a fwd cars and no rotation
rears are excellent- no neg camber adverse wear and good tread, they will now go on front
No camber kits- dont really need till you are near neg 1--my personal limit is neg 1.5 without them~
Stock spec is zero with allowed neg 1.0

the wheel offset is what you need to be concerned with
iirc mine is 45
there is a chart on azine about it- its the location of the hub along the rim width
Spacers are not the fix- get the right rims

I like the Enkei Performance EDR9's 18x7.5", offset is +45mm. I'd like to go with a 235 series tire for the looks but I'm not dead set. I'm more into substance than stlye, but I want both if I can have them. As far as camber kits, rear would be fine as I haven't done my rear arms, accept for the toe adjustment trailing arms. I recently changed the front control arms so I'd kick myself if I had to buy a front camber kit to boot.

Im on enkei RX-7 rims- the 235 tires will have a clearance issue in the rear-
its at the outer edge where the tire bulges and hits 2 places in the rear fenderlip
Look at your fenderlip and its easy to see what would happen- it sticks out flat and sharp edge pointed at the tire,,the mod is fairly discreet~
225s are on many ziners with the same size setup and they clear the inner edge of the fender without mod--well worth it- better than scraping the tires outer carcass and causing a blowout

235 should fit on a 7.5 just fine. I have the Koni Yellows and the H&R sport. No camber kit was needed on mine. I have 235/40/18 (+50) and i dont need spacers, you looking at a +45 wont need spacers. You will have to cut tabs though.

I have Tanabe springs are I'm not thrilled with them honestly. They aren't junk by any means but I want something stiffer given the ride quality I get out of them. Fsttyms1 so 235 on +50 offset = no rubbing and H&R sports = no camber kit? Sounds like a good pairing. What kind of rims are you running?
