Why YOU think your faster than an STI
Hey I know this probably is supposed to be over in racing but if it could stay here that would be nice. Since everyone was going nuts in the photo gallery thread revival haha I figured I'd make a thread for everyone to post FACTS on whats what.
Lets keep this strictly on topic and dont bash eachother. I'm kinda interested in everyones take and what they have to offer.

Lol silly goose, we were joking... just so we don't have to give in and say our TL is slower then a turboed boxer engine with a 5 or 6 MT, not sure which. Most of us aren't faster lol, maybe Rajca in his msnasty CL cept that he bend his valves. Also maybe the turbo/SC Tl's can give STI a beating. Then again, our car doesn't say "SPORTS CAR" it says "luxury sedan" with a KICK in it

STI's are fast, alot of work would need to be done to a TL if you wanted to beat an STI. Plus, most people that drive STI's, they dont drive stock. The turbo will prolly be at stage 2+ giving more boost and they will be running a CAI. My buddy in his jetta is running a 14.0 flat at the track, running stage 2+, CAI, Turbo back exhaust boosting at 22 PSI and when he raced an STI...he got his doors blown off.

i did 13.8 at a trap speed of 112 i think or 111 with a simple 125 shot and a slipping clutch. can be easily in the low 13's with a good clutch, and for $700, best bang for the buck.
