I just bought a set of 18 x 7.5 with 235/40/18. and the offset is 45. I am rubbing the back tires whenever i hit a bump, are my tires tooo wide or what? will 225/40/18 rub? thanks alot!

BTW I am using Eibach spring.

see i told all those fukers at the CL forum this, with the eibach drop i would have gotten 48-50mm offset rims...Damn your $hit is low and the tire is scrubbing, you need to start shaving or rolling fenders either one...Or change rims, which would suck...Good luck...Shyne

but could it be it's too wide? 235/40 vs 225/40??? cuz i think 10mm DO make a diff.

yup i think it's the tire width because 45 offset on 7.5" wide rims should have been enough; 225 would have been better in this situation. also i don't think 235 is the suggested tire for a 7.5" wide rim...so you go the the mfr's site and look up the tire and size to see what the ideal rim width is.

Re: Why rub??????

first the factory rims offset is 55. Yours is 45 than means the rims are sticking out more. Sencond you should have 225/40/18 tires. Third the springs have nothing to do with the rubbing, they never do. Also check for a aligment. If the toe is off, it might cause it to rub. Good luck.
