Why no breadcrumb feature on TL/TLS navi?
I know that Acura is touting this feature on the MDX (for "off-roading"), but why couldn't they offer it on the TL/TLS, besides for marketing purposes? Since breadcrumbing is basically a feature which allows you to go back the way you came from, I can see it being a useful feature for those instances where a street doesn't appear on the DVD. Example--when you "mark" a location for a street that you're on which doesn't exist in the navi database, the navi doesn't actually record the exact location that you marked but approximates the nearest existing street address in it's street database. Not a really good thing if you're trying to plot a destination to said marked location since the navi won't actually draw up a route to the desired spot but the approximate address as guessed by the navi when you first marked it.
On a related note--where are the "brains" of the navi--somewhere in or near the display unit, or in or near the DVD reader itself? Just wondering because if it was the latter, I would think that if I could find an MDX unit, I could just swap it out with the TLS one; or will this not even work due to different connectors or something like that?
Just a minor gripe, as it surely couldn't cost Acura more than a few cents--if at that--to have the breadcrumb feature on all navi-equipped Acura vehicles, not just the MDX; hence my reasoning that it must be a marketing ploy.

It will be interested to try. Has anyone had???? I have the HD version (99) and would like to upgrade my navi to DVD, adding more features would be cool, but that is if I don't sell my car.
I know that the swap from HD to DVD is just plug and play, hopefully the same for MDX DVD.
