Who has Max Gold bulbs for fogs?

I finally got mine and i'm very disappointed with them.

They are not as bright as I expected (from the pics I have seen of others).

They're gold/yellow colour, but just not very bright....

you cant really tell by looking at the picture.

take my silverstar for example.
in this pic, it looks as if it match the HID perfectly. But in real life, it a bit yellow.

cameras can't really capture how some of these bulbs look. Like my turns sigs. They look almost a match for my HID in some of my pics but in reality its not even close. So you can't expect it to turn out like some pics.

I agree. I got the Max bulbs and they are yellow, but not what I expected.

Hey you can't complain for twenty something dollars. I also got the max bulbs but I got the hyperwhite. It's much better than the halogen but ok when compared to my 6000Ks.

You are overlooking a couple of things...

#1 they are still halogen bulbs
#2 in order to increase the brightness of halogen bulbs you NEED to increase the watts (pure physics...no matter WHAT brand of bulb)

#3 in order to achieve that big milestone of an HID lookalike...you need to get a REAL HID conversion kit.

Try as many bulbs as you like...but in the end you will realize that you would of spent a whole lot of money finding out the long way. The strength of the MAX GOLDs is not with the brightness of the bulb (since technically it's still a 55W bulb), but with the uniqueness and value per dollar it offers.

If you want bright...you SHOULD of gone with the 80Watts

But...you still can't cheat physics...by LAW, the brighter the bulb...the higher the watt...the higher the watts...the SHORTER the bulb's lifespan.

Yeah they are not as bright...but i think they have the 80 watt version. Where did you buy it from showparts or midnightmoose? I bought them and one of them burnt after 50 days...i contacted showparts and they said the warrenty is only 30 days. Midnightmoose has a 90 day warrenty.
