Good luck is right, I'm going to buy an 02, but I AM NOT PAYING MSRP DAMN IT, it's the principal. SO far dealers are not budging much at all (from 29.3K), but in a couple of weeks my plan is to go to 3 of my neighborhood dealers and offer 28K even for an 02 anthracite w/out nav, take it or leave it. If that doesn't work I may have to wait till summer, or bite the bullet and pay up to 28.5. I'll see.
I'll appreciate anyone else's advice and prices who's shopping for on 02.

slicktl17, you are 100% right, especially since I chose to get the 02 rather than an 01 which I could have easily gotten for 26.5. But like I said, its the principal and the haggling factor and the feeling of not getting ripped off. $500 difference definitely will not keep me from buying the car. It's just a couple of bucks a month.
Also, I want to wait for the auto show (April 20 in NY) just to be 100% sure on the TL. Right now I'm at 85%TL, 10% 325, 5% open to suggestions. So I've got some time to haggle and maybe get a better deal.

BTW, how can I copy someone's text and paste it on my reply so that it shows "quote: originally posted by ...."

Ok I don't understand this.
28000 vs 28500 spread over 3-5 yrs. It won't make that much of a difference. If you like the car just go buy it.
Just my 2c.

$500 is that big of a deal? Go get a civic.
