Wink who drives my car at night?

I have been noticing that when I get into my car in the morning, the gas gauge is a tad lower than it was when I put the car in the garage the night before.

Eternal is right... As gas cools its mass decreases, thus the illusion of less gas in the tank... Thats why its great to have cold gas and cold air going in your motor... you actually gain a little HP

Why don't you just record the mileage at night and check to see if it's the same in the morning?

Could also be variations in the sender/gauge/wiring. Lower temp=lower resistance.
