Whistling wind noise

I tried to post part of this previously, but it never made it to screen.

I had two gashes under the fog lights on the bumper discovered 1 week after delivery. Sent it back to dealership for repair. They replaced the bumper no charge.

After receiving the car back, I have heard a slight but enough to annoy you whistling wind noise. It is not there all the time and the wind does not have to be strong. It is only heard at lower speeds below 50 as the road and highway wind noise drowns it out.

Anyone ever hear this?

Might it be some sort of hole that was not closed after they installed the new bumper?

Any ideas?

Also started hearing a vibrating type noise from the center console near the stereo. I wonder whether it's the spring mechanism behind the tray above the CD player.

Are you sure its from the bumper? I went nuts for two days tracking down a wind noise at >50mph and it turned out that a passenger left my window down 1/32" (it looked closed and almost really was) enough to make it whistle from what seemed like the wheel well.

Good luck.

Windows all up

Yes, the windows are all up. I check that all the time. I don't know that it is from the bumper. I ust mentioned that because it seems to me that a whistling noise would come from wind blowing through a constricted opening and that I never heard this sound before they worked on my car. I really regret taking my car in for work.

A good friend of mine warned me against even getting the bumper worked on because he said that it would not be as well done as the factory sequenced installations. He warned me to beware of more problems after these garage guys dabble in the car.
