Holy old repost batman! How did this get resurrected? Probably w/ the gas prices now, I'd be mad if they went through 1/8 a tank of gas, let alone 3/4ths. Perhaps if my tranny fails, I'll tell them to put in the new hybrid engine from the accord while they are down there.

Man, to think that I am pretty pissed off when I get my car back and the seat is dropped down, and the AC and radio is cranked up. If had those miles on my car I'd be livid.

My buddy with a WRX STi had this happen to him once, when the STi's first came out. He ended up installing a "valet switch" that electronically limits the RPMs.

Too bad you guys have such bad luck with your dealership. My service manager treats me great and even stores my car indoors if I can't pick it up when it's done. They are a great dealership and have always done right with me. btw...Jones Acura, Lancaster, PA.

Did this happen to you at Rosenthal Acura? I would complain to the Dealer's General Manager. I had my transmission replaced there. They too drove my car more that 20 miles. But I was not pissed about that. For the most part there service is ok. I always have them check the car over with me when I drop it off. I also make sure that car is clean and fully detailed when I drop it off for service at any place. I also have them note the mileage when you drop it off and the amount of gas in the car too. I re-check car when I pick it up too. I had a very bad experience at Radely Acura. I hate those guys.

Rosenthal installed my springs and the tech that worked on my car got the roof liner very dirty. Plus he scratched the inside of the rear door jam on the driver side. I was pissed. I called the Dealer's GM and they corrected the problem and apologized I had to come back to have this corrected.

My sister has a 1996 RL and Rosenthal Acura put over a 100 miles on it when she dropped it off for service and said they could not find out what was wrong. She was pissed she complained don't know the out come of it was. But that was the last she or I visited Rosenthal. I am not a big fan of Dealerships at all. I prefer to do as much as I can to my own car. At least I know what I am doing and I it will be done right the first time.

my frd works at acura told me they are only allowed to drive no more than 12 miles on the customer's car to test, unless given permission by the customer or else they cannot drive that much

and report to acura/honda, if they have a few complaints about the same dealerships they will do sth
