where to wash my car... Toronto

hello all,
It's freaking cold these days.... anyone of you can suggest a good place for car wash? I used to do it manually, but it's just too cold these days... I need a machine wash... any suggestion on a place that does a good job?? thanks.

Esso usually are all touchless. But if you want a really nice wash go to Sheppard and Leslie Petro Canada. By far they are the best car wash I have been to. Car comes out with no streaks and all the dirt is cleaned off. Not sure if it is close to you or not though.

The one at Petro is it a rail-type where you put the car in neutral and it drags it across, or you have to drive over the rails and put car to park to wash? I go to Bayview / hwy 7 sunoco since it has the lowest clearance I've been too (neutral-drag type). I went to one at Esso (drive-rail type) and the rail almost busted my front mud flaps. Given my car is on H&R sports so I don't want to go over wash that have high rails.

The one by Ikea on Sheppard is on rails. Bayview and 7 is a good place to wash your car too. It's good in the summer cause they have wash yourself bays.

Wink cold is relative ...

Hey -- maybe I'm crazy but I wash my car (by hand) at least once a month (winter or not) on the road (when it gets icy). My neighbours think I'm nuts but at least I know I do a thorough job making sure everything is clean. I always use Zaino car wash -- don't know what kinda crap soap (recycled?!) they use at the gas stations ... always keeps me worried.

But what's the lesser of the two evils? Leaving all that salt on your car or using very abraisive soaps? I think I'll push my luck and go with less washings but with good soap. Plus it gets all wet and slushy down here so there's no point to more frequent washings, IMHO.

I wash it when 1) I know it'll be dry for the next few days, or 2) when the salt on my car start getting onto my clothes as I get in and out, and 3) I can't see a thing through my windows

If you have any friends that live in Condo's, sometimes they have an underground spot that's designated to wash your car... they even have a hose to spray down your car for you. I know they have that at the Tridel building @ Kennedy and Sheppard.

Otherwise, I take mine to Esso b/c I have a speedpass and I wash it at least every 3 weeks. It works out that by filling up every week, after 3 fill-ups, I have enough points for a FREE car wash. :p

Hey Tate, I stopped going to Sunoco for the Ultra 94. Doesn't do jack for the car. Esso 91 is fine with me plus they do not have any rewards points at Sunoco.
Anyone from TO know where I can get some Zaino?

Doesn't Sunoco have CAA points?
