Where is the transmission fill plug?

I remember reading an old thread about the location of the tranny fill plug & maybe seeing a pic of it but can't find that thread anymore.

Can someone please fill me in on where the fill plug is & what socket size it is?

It's on top of the AT housing. If you look straight down behind the intake. There should be a bolt labeled "ATF". I think it's 18mm.

tweedle99 - close but no cigar - it's a 17mm.

You can always use the dipstick tube. Just pull out the stick, get a funnel and start filling

It's clearly labeled on mine. Just use a flashlight to check behind the manifold / throttle body (i think ). I tried to open mine but had a hard time when I did a quick flush 3 months ago. I ended up using a funnel and a small tube to refill the ATF through the dipstick. Just thought I'd add that in case that's what you're trying to do.

Thanks guys, I found it. It's been almost 20k since mine was last changed & I think I should change it now before the aggressive summer heat & driving does anything bad to it.

Did try to open it, yes 17mm size, but couldn't. Seems like it's really stuck. May have to use the dipstick tube like vandy said.

Nope like tweedle99 & vandy said b/c you didn't answer my ? on the location of the fill plug. I already know that you can also use the fill tube.

But I'll give you some credit 1fasttl for replying to this thread.

The reason why i said to use the dipstick tube is when the dealer service's the trans and they use the filler bolt they always tighten the bolt with a impact gun. Making it nearly impossible to take it off by hand. Trust me i work at a acura dealer. That's why i said that.
