Where the hell is the transmission oil cooler line
For the past few weeks ive been hearing about the heat build up in the transmission of my 2000 tl so a bright idea came to mind transmission oil cooler (sarcasm) but guess what I have yet to find the in and out line coming from the transmission even after weeks of looking and researching. Someone please help this really help with my car

There are no lines coming from the Trans with ATF because the TL does not use a Radiator ATF Warmer... It uses a top mounted ATF Warmer that flows ATF Internally from it, AntiFreeze lines comes directly form the In & Out of the Engine Lines.
What you can do is remove a separate line behind the Transmission that comes from the ATF Filter into the trans back again, Just follow that black solid tube in the Top Left corner (Also Shown in the Picture Above). At the end it has a rubber line that can be removed and you can install a separate transmission cooler lines into it... That line gets the clean ATF from the filter into the transmission.

The one coming out from the top black solid tube.. That tube comes out of the ATF filter housing goes to the back of the trans and then converts to a small rubber line (About 4inch) into a banjo bolt at the end..
Just remove the Rubber line and you have your IN & OUT to the ATF Cooler.

It is hard as hell to remove it but keep trying I do not recommend to remove the banjo bolt, but if you wanna give it a go is your choice.
I also had issues to remove the rubber line as well, a simple trick is to remove any side and twist the rubber line so it spins and unglues itself.

sorry this is a little bit late but i did remove the banjo bolt and had no problem with it, I just twisted the rubber hose off the bolt and put the new (in) line on and screwed the banjo bolt back on. two to three weeks later no problems and no leaks

No I actually did not but it doesn't take to much work to put one in so I might do that soon. Still planning on a tranny flush so might be done after that happens.
