Ok, I admit I was looking at the g35 for a bit, but I just can't stand the ugly rear. The problem is that I don't want to get the 2003 tl, given that the 2004 is right around the corner. Any ideas on when we'll get some info on the 2004 tl?

Don't expect any information until early 2003 at best. Probably in the late winter/early spring they'll have some info out.... right around the time that the International Car Shows begin. I mean, information about the new Accord has been very sketchy... and that will be a 2003 model!!

If you think the 2004 TL is "right around the corner", then using that reasoning you will never buy any new car. Since the 2003 was introduced this year (in calendar 2002), the absolute earliest the 2004 model could come out is Jan 1, 2003 (still more than six months away). It's more likely that Acura will milk the current TL longer than that, waiting to release the redesigned 2004 model later in the calendar year. Since details ARE so sketchy, you may love it or hate it, but it just seems to me you can't make purchase decisions based so strongly on what MIGHT happen that far in the future.

To build on Iceman's comments... all indications so far is that Acura is going to go back to it's late summer/fall release schedule which would make the '04 TL for sale in late '03.....

If I were you, I'd just go ahead and get an '03...you never know...the '04 TL might have an ugly square on the trunk...

Or huge, ugly head lights. The '03 Accord should be an indication of Honda/Acura's direction.

source says it will be a 3.5 liter engine rather than a 3.2 since the new accord V6 will be using a 3.2 liter 240hp engine
