What's your 1/4 mile time?

Just wanted to get an idea how my TL-S fairs compared with others on this board that has taken their baby to the track. Please also list any performance mods you have.

2002 SSM TL-S w/o Nav
Comptech Headers
Comptech Exhausts
Injen CAI
Neuspeed Upper Strut Tie-Bar
Sumitomo HTR+ 225/45R17

Best time and trap speed(rookie season), I should get better next season now that I know what to do:
14.658@96.09mph

Thanks for your response

15.079 @ 92.xx

Bone stock. 80 degrees, no prep whatsoever.

I need to get back soon to test out the headers and intake. Unfortunately I live in Washington, so it will be a while.

Slow! ~15.2 at 93. Car was Bone Stock on a so-so night (humid and about 80ish degrees). I have yet to install the OBX headers but hope to get a mid to high 14 in the spring with good temps.

8.969 for 1/8 is actually pretty good. Wonder what happened to him after that. Tranny blew?

He is waiting before he runs a full 1/4 mile. I think he is waiting to get better rubber first to make sure he runs in the 13s.

I assume you are talking to me? My 60' was 2.343. Yeah, I need to practice on my launch. What about your 1/4 time?

best time is 14.65s @ 96 with CAI, Sparkplugs and and 18" 235/40/18 Nitto 555... I added OBX headers and UR SS pullyes.... no new best time with those mods till I get new tires... hopefully... Yokohama ES100 235/40/18... I may switch the CAI filter to a 9" long K&N filter.

I may do also Type-R tricks like Rear Spring Bushings and pumping 40 PSI in the back and dropping the front to 25 PSI...

This was my 4th run and had some wheel hop and spinning.

R/T - .796
60' - 2.261
330' - 6.222
1/8 - 9.456
MPH - 77.73
1000 - 12.280
1/4 - 14.659
MPH - 93.95

My worst run was a 14.789, so pretty consistent.

Track surface temperature was very cold so traction was not the best.

My best 60' was a 2.186 and I had no wheel hop on that run.

My engine is all stock and ran with spare and jack in the car. , but I do have tires and wheels.

Dammit. After getting some feedback from you guys, I finally realize how slow my car is (given the fact that I have all those mods). I'm pissed now! What am I doing wrong?!?! One question: Are you guys still in 3rd after the trap? I think I shifted too early. I'm already in 4th by the end. We all know how tall our 4th is. Maybe that's my problem. I just didn't want the fuel shutoff to kick in at the end. But I heard that we don't reach the fuel shut off until after 100mph? Is that accurate?

Track variations and weather differences will have some effect, but you should still be in 3rd. I take my 3rd gear to about 110-115MPH. Redline.

Also, are you shift gate shifting, and do you run 1st and 2nd out?
And you 60' times tell me you still have 1-2tenths in the bag. With a better launch you should be in the 14.45-14.5 range. If you get lighter tires and wheels, I bet you could push 14.25-14.3.

You DEFINITELY need to shift better.
I run consistent 14.9's with only a CAI and heavy ass 19's
If you are shifting right ("manually" aka "gate shifting" - forget D4 or Sportshift), you should be in 3rd at the end of the track no matter what.

I'll let you know what happens after I get my OBX headers installed, they arrived yesterday.
