what type of bulb does the TSX use?

I was driving next to a new TSX, and the HID system on that car is amazing. so clear, and bright.
is it 4100k?
I have a 99TL and my bulbs are going... not too bright any more. need to get new ones... any suggestions?

The reasons the TSx lights up the road so well is because its a projector headlight HID system whereas yours is a reflector headlight assembly. The new TL's have projectors as well.

You can modify the bulb from a TSX to fit in your car, but you probably woudlnt notice much of a change if any at all. Its the headlights really making the diff, not the bulbs. If you liek teh color, try upgrading to 6000k bulbs. Lightout will appear whiter and brighter also, but in actuality you'll loose a small bit of light output.

get D2R bulbs.

D2S bulbs are made for projector lenses, and have notches in them that wont line up with your headlights without modification.

it may appear that way due to the 6000k's, but in actuality, you are putting out slightly less light than him. For me. the penalty was outweighed by how much more I liked the way the car looked, and much whiter and brighter it made things seem to me. I only brealy noticed the diff in light output.

Since most roads we drive on are already lit up. Your not lossing anything with going to 6000k Other then losing the stock look.
