What parts are different in a Type S?

Had a fender bender where I require a lot of front end parts.

Radiator is different (engine and suspension obviously), anything else?

Interesting suggestion.

I didn't seem to have much luck with it though.

Can you find me a previous post that lists all the differences in detail?

You've been a member since Jul 2001 and have over 2,000 posts and you have never seen a thread about what someone (usually a noob) has to do to change a TLP to a TLS? Intake manifold, ECU, Cams (?) are just three things that are different.

search under tl-s front clip, tl-s conversion, tl-s hood and bumper, etc. and you'll find your answers.

Are you just looking at converting the front to a 02-03 style? Its all mostly cosmetic (ie fenders, hood, lights, bumper, (not sure if the core support is diff?) misc plastic gaurds. There are a couple threads on the conversion but i dont believe any went into detail what exactly was required. Maybe a PM to one that did do it
here are a few for you

I just read the subject line, "What parts are different in a Type S' and the fact that he had a front end accident. Come to think of it, there are no differences on the front end between a TLP and a TLS.

I was not aware the radiator was different nor the suspension, as hemants mentioned in his first post.

Not looking for an 00 to 03 conversion.

Looking to find out which 02 03 parts I can and can not use for my fender bender (02 Type S).

Body shop guy informed me that radiator is different.

Guess the answer isn't as straight forward eh MikePA?

I guess it's not. I sure hope you find someone to do your work for you and give you a detailed list of what's different. Perhaps if you had initially posted an intelligible question you'd have an answer by now.

Determining the differences is as easy as going to oemacuraparts.com and looking up the parts you need. Some have w/ type s and some have w/o type s.

Not really. Some parts are labelled differently even though they are the same. Classic example is 6th gen Accord V6 parts and TL parts. Many are the same even though they carry different part numbers.

I thought my question was fairly straight forward. Which front end parts are different aside from the obvious (ie. engine)?

If you don't know that's fine. No need to display attitude and yet add nothing to the thread.

Im not aware of any parts being different other than the radiator. The type s has a temp sensor in the radiator, the tl-p doesnt.and it looks like the ac condensor fan is different

Let's see. I gave you a web site and even mentioned how they differentiate the models. I guess because I didn't do your work for you I didn't add anything.

sbuswell also didn't understand your 'fairly straight forward' question.

Correct. I was hoping someone had been through this and could provide an answer. Search function didn't bring anything up.
