What part is this? HID low beam out need to replace but can't find another similar

The metal box behind the fog light hid ballast. I first thought it was the oem headlight low beam ballast but the ones I find on ebay look nothing like it.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2002-2003-2004-2005-ACURA-TL-TL-Type-S-Factory-OEM-HID-XENON-BALLAST-IGNITER-/151648788959?hash=item234ef8e1df&vxp=mtr
I swapped swapped headlights and bulbs and determined that box was the cause for the bulb being out.

I thought it had to be. If anyone can find another like it, I'd really appreciate it. Having no luck on ebay. Would an oem one still fit those connections or is there a mod? I didn't install the headlights, bought the car like this.

That design is completely outdated.. You can still find it on old stocks of retrofits.

This 12 bucks:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/35W-HID-Xenon-Conversion-Replacement-Ballast-of-Kit-universal-for-all-bulb-sizes-/181693552513?hash=item2a4dc79781&vxp=mtrIs the same but more compact.
All your current connections will work.. You just need to secure it properly since it wont fit that fat ass bracket.

Would this be a good fit?

Mine is cheaper... You should have the igniter adaptor already if you are running D2 HID bulbs, Why spend more?
That looks to be the right size but again you are spending much more just to make it fit?
