Stock Enkeis are 16x6.5 with 55 offset. I have 18's with a 52 offset. Usually 48 or greater is best - but some members have as low as 42.

Hey TL Daddy, I noticed in you mods list that you have 18x7.5 w/52mm offset and 225/45 tires. Is there room, inside and out, to fit 235/40 or 245/40 tires on your wheels? If not, can you say, with some certainty, that they'll fit with a higher offset?

Actually, 215/45/18's are the best size to match the overall diameter of the stock wheels/tires, but there arent a lot of companies that make that size

From my experience with members of the board, anything over 225 will rub. I can't say for certain what will work, but I believe that if you get larger than 225/40-45 that your tire size will be way off and your speedo error will be off as well. I think someone here tried (or has) 235's and didn't fare too well. Others may have a different outlook though.

Actually, TL Daddy, 235/40x18 and 245/40x18 is VERY close to the original size diameter. What I'm asking is, since you have a pretty high offset(52mm), do you have room under your fenderwell to fit a wider tire?

No. Right now my tires fit exactly under my fender with less than a finger of gap from tire to fenderwell. Larger offset may work if you can find a wheel.

OK TL Daddy, now we know you have about a finger space at the fenderwell. I have 2 more questions for you. 1. Did you roll your fenderwell? and 2. How much clearance do you have inside? The second answer will tell me if a larger offset will work. Thanks!

1. No, that was never an option for me. I wanted to get the proper offset so I wouldn't have to do that.
2. Plenty. Although I've never measured, my tires don't rub or contact the inner fender well.
