I was thinking of a blue neon underbody kit. I have a NBP '03 TL-S. All the mods I already have are in my sig.

I don't wanna get springs and drop my car until I get a kit.

Getting an intake is another idea I had but I want an icebox but $249 and shipping? I don't want an AEM. If I do get a CAI I want to go all out. Headers, exhaust, etc.. Not just an intake. That's $280+ for less than 10 hp.
Tint was another choice. I can get that anytime.

Hard choice to make. What's wrong with neon kit?

Haha.. i think all this was expected with the opposition to Neon Kit. Bro, you drive a TL ... not a civic. Neons belong on civics. I guess to each his own. But ... doing that to a classy car like our TLS kind of makes the TL look cheap IMO.

Do mods that accent the elegance to our car. Its like.. u dont see neons or gt wngs on Lexus Es 300's. But actually there was someone on this board who put a GT wing on their TL, which of course he got bashed for when he tried to sell it. LoL.

Ne wayz.. .good luck with ur decison. And I didnt even think about the clearing of the headlights, but that is a very good one too. Mr. will do that for ya flawlessly. You can also go with the spoiler or springs. Spoiler, there is a good price that I got and posted the link up in the for sale section. Now for the springs it doesnt matter if you do it before or after u get ur kit, cuz its going to be the same height drop if you get the comptechs. Good Luck.

Just to get a ball park estimate. How much did all you guys pay for your tint. $150-250? What kind of tint. Is the back window done in strips?

Tints... the back window they dont do it in strips, and dont worry about the read defroster filaments they work fine after the tint job. I paid 210 for tints at a reputalbe shop used 3M film, also lifetime warranty. Make sure u know what film ur getting and warranty. I got 20% all around on mine...just to give you an idea here is my car.

Pretty much what everybody else have been saying: tints, cai, icebox, springs, cleared headlights.

BTW, there is nothing wrong with adding things little by little. Unless you are planning to rob a bank or win the lottery ticket, buying everything at once can take a long time and be VERY expensive !:wow: Plus you will enjoy your car more after each mod.

$150-225 is a good price here in the Northeast. I paid 150 fom the best people around and that included a one piece rear window and flawless edges all around. I have 15% all around, its just right.

Keep in mind if you get a trunk spoiler aftermarket as I did, you can expect to pay $150-250 to get it painted right. I do my own bodywork and was not happy with the poor casting of my 150 dollar spoiler, so I did the equivalent of 4 hours of blocking and priming to get it right...I should say I needed to do that much but my excitement to get it on the car overcame me. Looks good to 90% of the people but if you are picky about paint and workmanship be prepared to spend the money and buy a better quality one, which any good shop will get at least $150 to prep and paint. That stuff is expensive....

Neons are for 80s Mustang GTs with tailpipes sticking out cutouts in the rear bumper... and Civics! (just kidding do whatever makes you happy)

My AEM Cold air kit was really cool, a little pricey at $200+ for what you get but a great sound and a little more kick.

Lots of fuzzy dice and 8ball valve stem caps....

I'm getting tint sometime by the end of this month. Probably 35% which is the legal limit here in Washington state.

I agree it's kind of rice, but i'm getting the neons. I'm still young, and I don't really need the elegance look. I don't have any crazy mods on my car, so I want it to stand out. Still waiting for a oem body kit. Still saving up for one.

the only reason I can't clear out my head lights from mr. is i'm not going to buy another set of headlights to send to him. can't afford that. plus i don't have the skills or the balls to do them on my own.

OEM kit and springs is all i have left to do.

Great. Another TL with neons. Why do this do this to TL's? It's so not the right car to do neons on.

Save that money so you can get the body kit quicker. Or get lowering springs. Springs and kit alone will set your car apart already.

Hey now...stop hating on the neons. I think they look good on my car, but only if you have a color theme to the car (white & blue)

Anyways, I think you should definitely go with the AEM CAI. The way it makes your motor sound is unbelievable!! But really, it depends on what your goals for the car are. If your going more for performance, it all starts with your intake .Then you should get a Comptech Exhaust and then headers. The results are very pleasing.

BlackShadow is right--do your mods little by little and you will enjoy the journey as much as when it's all done. (I hope; I'm almost there)
