So when I was clearing my headlights a couple weeks ago, I stumbled across this strange pipe, and I'm not quite sure what it is. I'm not familiar with the air intake system of the type s, much less the 00+. I did however install a CAI on my old 99, but this is just weird... what is it? Its right in front of the air cleaner box, right behind the drivers side headlight. Check it out.

That is just the upper part of the air intake duct. My 3G has it too.

So its supposed to look like that? It looks as if its been cut off, and I was curious to know if perhaps the previous owner had an intake system.

On my old '98 CL it looked just like that and on my '06TL it looks just like that as well....should be the same for yours, no worries

nope thats just the way it looks like....its connected to your air resonator there's supposed to be a black plastic cover a few inches above it
