Man, don't show me that! I'm about to put in aftermarket springs and keep the stock shocks. What did you do, hit a speedbump going 60??

Well what you see now is a bumpstop. The bumpstop prevents the spring to compress a certain height. Unfortunately my shock was soooooooo wornout that the bumpstop couldn't do jack**** except break and wrap around the shock.

Do yourself a favor and change your shocks along with your springs to avoid a hassle. Your shocks WILL prematurely wear out if you put on drop springs.

Why risk it? You are paying for labor or taking everything out yourself anyway. Go with performance shocks.

Holy $hit, I wonder what my stock shocks look like after close to 4 years?!!! Maybe it's time to get aftermarket shocks. But my ride quality is still great. Or maybe my a$$ is numb that I can't tell the difference anymore.:p

I have the Apexi N1 WS. In the pics, are you sure it was the Apexi? Cause I know the Teins and Nex comes with its own shocks. Actually the Apexi is the cheapest of the good coilovers.

I wouldnt worry about gettting aftermarket shocks if the shocks arent more than 50k miles on them...So dont get to excited and start a revolution of people buying shocks...just my 2cents..

Blown A'pexi coilovers. Those don't look like no A'pexi coilovers. Stock shocks and aftermarket springs, it's just a mater of time or NYC roads.

Basically if you live in NY you can't get away with just springs for $250. It will all add up to $1000+ just for parts. I estimated this from checking the prices on Koni shocks from Comtechusa.com

PS I don't know much about suspension and the cost of things
