I have an 02 TL type S with 35,000 miles on it and i just got her back yesterday from the dealership. They replaced my transmission but it just doesnt seem the same. I feel like i lost a lot of power and I hear what seems to be a whistling sound whenever i run my RPMS high. When i am driving at 25 mph I switch from automatic to gear shifting and it says i am in gear 4. Does that sound right to anyone.

i think that sounds right if your going 25 and the shift it to SS.

personally I drive in D4 when I'm doing city driving, I usually don't shift into D5 until I get up to highway speeds, as far as the tranny being in 4th @ 25 mph that sounds about right as the computer will shift it to fifth if you're going more that 45 to 50 mph and decide to shift into SS. btw I'm on my second tranny also, it was changed at about 100,000 miles and currently have about 145,000 miles (sorry I'm trying to convert kms to mph in my head) hope this helps, Peace, Jeff

in 4th @ 25mph, you should be around idle on your tach. what's your rpms right after it shifts into 4th?

that whistling sound was in my tranny also and they replaced it , id have it double checked
