What the? Footwell lighting?!
Tonight I was driving the TL and when I released the footbrake, a light came on and lit up the footwell of my TL. It stayed on for about 30 seconds and then went off, and I cannot get it to come back on. 
I am lost. Does anyone know what might be going on, or has anyone experienced this?

It wasn't a problem, I don't think. It's the only time I have ever noticed this light. It only stayed on about 30 seconds, lighting the entire driver's side footwell. Then it went out - and I can't get it to come back on no matter what I do.

I thought I was seeing stuff at first, too. I thought it was a light coming in from the moonroof, but it wasn't. I got down and looked and it was a light on lighting up the footwell. When it went off, no amount of working the parking brake could get it to come back on. It would flicker a little, but not come back on. I am dumbfounded.

dude it's not THAT hard ... if you see it then there must be a light down there...just stick your head down there and LOOK. If there isn't any, perhaps you forgot to take your med this morning?
