I have jumped ship.
I wanted a change and as hard as I tried, I could not get to liking the 2009 TL.

I have a 2003 TLS with only 33k miles ( 54k Km) on it. Black on black , tinted windows , aero kit , upgraded wheels, a very clean car....I love the look of my car and the lines it has.

Well what do you think the dealer was willing to give me.
Only $9k !!! I was shocked. The reason the dealer gave was the current state of the market.

I eventually sold it privately and got $14k ....still very low.

I say good by to it on Dec 12th. The new owner let me keep it until my new car arrives.

My son hates me!

Thought I would share that for anybody out there thinking of selling.
BTW I am in Montreal , Canada.

man that sucks I was just talking to a dealer about a possible 330i... its 10k there giving me 9500 for my tl that has 104k on it

Not many buyers want to buy used 2G TL/CL's due to the inherited tranny problems. Especially now that the factory extended tranny warranty is beginning to expire on high mileage TL/CL's, expect more and more of them to flood the used car market, and their resell price to drop like a rock.

Your saying even 14k is low your out of your mind and lucky to have even gotten that. You can pick up a low mileage 3rd gen from the auction for like 12-14k that's a no brainer.

^ agreed low mileage or not the 09's didnt help us out at all either

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO......... ......... I was lookin for a new 2003 TL type S black on black to replace my 2000.... Im also in Montreal I've been looking so long for one with low kilometers. I just seem to have missed you!! Im been looking all over kijiji and autotrader but came up with nothing nice 14k was my price range. Thats how much 03 Type-S's are worth in black over here.... Can u post some picss of the ride im dieing to see it. And if its still for sale I want dibs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck with the sale the guy who is buying it got a very good deal. It's really hard to find a very well cared for TL here in Montreal. I've been searching for an 03 for months now but all of the cars I've seen have really messed up interior problems.... and cracked foglights and cracked leather seats.

I still got an eye out for an 03 NBP TL-S though. My sales rep at Acura Laval said that they are all sending their 02-03 that come of leases out west to BC, Alberta, Sask. Appearantly they still fetch good money out their. An 03 Aspec can still fetch 20g's out there, while an 03 Type-S is still worth around 17k.
