Talking I just saved a ton of money by switching to Geico! You can doIT!

$2,400 per year for my 2005 TL AT/5 and my 1998 Jeep Wrangler Sport. That's $200 or so per month for all you math majors.

Unhappy Oh yeah...

I should also mention that I have 3 speeding tickets in the past 3 years. Otherwise I think Geico would give me a much better rate.

I made the switch to Geico two years ago.

I pay $304.00 a month. I insure full coverage on a 04/TL and 02/530I.
I get a ticket at least every 15 months (average since age 16).
Georgia makes it mandatory you have insurance and your insurance company is electronically linked to the Georgia Department of Motor Vehicles. If your coverage lapses, the state knows instantly and you have 30 days to get new insurance. Since this was inacted (last year), my insurance rates have gone down $60.00 every year.

Actually, Vegas is the worst. My parents live there, and the insurance is ridiculous.

20 yrs old, NJ, Geico. $1700/year (no points, no accidents). It sure does help if you're a good student

dam, well here we go to top things off, 2002 TL Type-S 1 speeding (85 in a 50) 4 summons, 2 lane changing, 6 warnings, close to $4,000 a year in Brooklyn, NY (east NY) and its under my mothers name lol, after my first 2 tickets, the price actually dropped lol i was very confused. switiching to liberty mutual very soon, i tried quoting myself for insurance under my own name, came out to 6,851 a year

Don't think your arse smells any sweeter than anyone Else's. Also, Their rates are NOT necessarily the lowest.

Iggy

What do you consider major? I had a $7700 claim for hail damage with USAA and they took great care of me. I have 3 vehicles, 92 Accord, 03 TL-s and wifey's Rav 4 and we pay 1800 a year and that is for $100 comp, $500 collisiion on all cars. USAA has been nothing but good to me and I am glad to be an active duty vet as well as a current reservist enjoying the USAA low prices. Nobody that I have checked can get anywhere close to USAA's rates and I've checked about 12 companies so far just to make sure. Plus, that big dividend check every year is great! I think last year was around $400 if I remember right, shit, Geico won't do that and they raise your rate by 15%, not reduce it. Shoot, Geico is so wack..even a caveman can see that......NOT...COOL!

Oh yeah, no points, in a no-fault state, full coverage on all cars, homeowners policy as well as wedding ring article on this policy and no tickets. Been with USAA since about '98

Exclamation I WORK in insurance.

What's important is that this thread is over 4 years old and no one even knows who started it

also, i hope everyone knows that this thread is pretty much strictly for entertainment purposes, because there are thousands of different factors that affect everyone's rates and there really is no way to compare except for one single person comparing with different companies. no 2 people will get the exact same rate comparison with every company, that's just how it is. it's something very complicated and unfortunately in no way simple.

btw, 2 of the most expensive areas for insurance in the nation are detroit and brooklyn, depending on zip code of course. -that's not a guess, that's a fact.

anyway, carry on

I'm 40, I pay 709/yr and 2 points (speeding, and I wasn't even in the TL ). That was my first ticket in 14 years so I'm hoping my rates won't go up.
