What do you guys prefer...yellow fogs or white fogs?

I'm going to be ordering bulbs soon for the DIY project. But I am stuck as to what color bulbs I want to get. What do you guys prefer?

I just switched my 4300K hid bulbs(stock color) for 3000K hids. I like the 3000K better but they are both nice looking.

I def think that it depends on the color of the car and what the other lights look like on the car. If you have amber in the parking then the HID and yellow that def looks JDM but if you have white then go with 4300K in the fogs.

My TL is NBP. I have 4300k low beams and I plan on clearing the amber reflector and switching the bulbs to chrome amber bulbs. I dont know what parking lights are tho..

I have yellow ones for my SSM. The way I look at it, yellow=fogs, white=driving lights. I drive in a lot of snow so yellow puts off nice contrast at night. If I lived in sunbelts, I'd go with white.

Forgive me, but I believe this is function over form....
Do you really need your fogs as "fog lights" for driving in fog? Then I believe a yellowish color will benefit you in breaking up the white of the fog/snow.
However, if you're like me and drive in fog twice a year, and just want to be able to see further (forward and to the side) on back roads, then matching 4300k is the way to go.

I agree with jayuns, and want to add that I think for most of us the fog lights are used as show or for a little more added light on the road.

Yellow fogs (3000k) will be the best for true fog use while other members prefer white light (4300/5000k) that simply looks a little better (of course this is subjective).

I'm thinking of switching to yellow. More for show, I haven't used the fog lights much.

If I go with halogens, I don't need a conversion kit right?
Also our TLs have 9006 bulbs?

I like both and I have the option of switching them out very easy.

4100K (white) HID fogs for long distance, dark road driving

3000K (Yellow) HID fogs bad weather, especially snow and fog.

Agreed. I live in Arkansas. I've never seen snow in my life. Fog is a rare occasion.

I'd go 4300K to match the low beams. Its a personal choice though, the whole reason I like HID lights is for the crispy white/blue color. Yellow lights remind me of an old halogen light with 643 hours on them.

Its whatever you like, I guess.

Yeah, the yellow fogs aren't for everyone..but I can promise you the right yellow HID fog setup doesn't look anywhere close to a halogen bulb lol

driving with only the fogs on, or with fogs and headlights? I know once its dark here, headlights are mandatory (would imagine this is common law).

Or are you asking if its illegal to turn them on if no fog is present?

I know its not illegal here in Ky and surrounding states, but you may check local laws. I cant see how something that is factory equipped would be illegal to use at your leisure?
