Had my tl for a good 3 weeks and guess what happened today. I was waitinin to turn left and i pulled out and then a buncha cars raced by so i had to wait in the street, and then all of the sudden some stupid bitch in a big ass suv comes out of no where and fucking runs into the front of my car while im Stopped in the middle of the road. Obviously she was lookin at the radio or some shit b/c she didnt even Brake. So basicly the whole front is smashed to shit and itll probably get totaled. Cant believe ive had the car for less than a month and its fucking ruined. It was fun while it lasted.

insurance said itd be a week and i have no injury to my self. I was pullin out of a parking lot so there was no signal. But i checked left and right left like your supposed to and then pulled out and was sitting in the middle of the street for a good 5-10 sec. So she had all the time in the world to stop b/c its a st8 street. She was just going to fast and was probably playing with the radio. I couldnt move though b/c a bunch of cars came fast from the right so i had to stay in the street.

I recommend you don't tell your insurance company or her you weren't signaling, because then they can pretty much tell you that you made a mistake so it was your fault. If she wasn't paying attention she won't know.

Ouch.. I have an '02 TL-S in WDP, but that crash is horrible.. if there's engine damage, car should be totaled out.. fight for it bro! but glad you're ok!

Sorry to hear about your TL.

I would almost bet the frame is bent on it, not to mention it probably got the tranny. Also if the airbags went off they are 600 a piece to replace plus the sensors.

if you pulled out from a parking lot into a street, you have to make sure you're clear to go through. it really doesn't matter how fast the other person was going. sorry to break it to you man.

Was there a divider in the road with a shoulder area for you to stop in the middle? ... Where I live there's an intersection with no traffic light (which is what he meant by no signal ... no traffic signal, not that he failed to use his turning signal) ... But there's a divider for the road, kindof like jersey walls that separate the two sides of a major highway ... Anyways, because its a 6 lane road, its nearly impossible to get across the road and its very difficult to see both ways as well... So you basically have to look at traffic coming from the right and then make sure nobody is turning left from the other direction and then go and hangout in the middle before continuing on...

In this case, I would think that the lady in the SUV would be at fault for plowing into you... If there's no safe space for you to stop, it might be considered a 'no fault' accident or in other words everyone pays their own ... While the SUV is at fault for careless driving, you're probably at fault for failure to yield to oncoming traffic ... unless of course there's that safe zone for you to wait. Dunno what your insurance companies will decide, did the police report say who was at fault?? Usually insurance companies will go with what the police report says.

Anyways, sorry to hear about your accident ... glad that you're OK! Maybe you can start looking into getting a 2003 TL-S or maybe even a '04 TL
