wax question

how long does it take for wax job to wear off? i wanna clay bar it than wax, but i dont wanna strip wax now, so how long is the wait approx?

I've always heard that you should wax your car every 6 months at least. So I would say a bit over 6 months and you probably don't have much wax left.

But you don't need to wait.

Claying by the way gets rid of the wax! I would recommend washing the car with Dawn dish soap and then claying. This will strip all the wax off.

Then when you are done claying don't put wax on. Buy some Zaino instead. It is a polymer and it is better than wax. www.zainobros.com

If kept in a garage at night, once every six months.
If kept out side in the Elements un protected, once a month!

6 months for 1 layer of wax? wow I wax it like every month and it is garaged and only used 3 days a week.

6 months? yeah, if you eject the car in to the vacuum of space

no dude, the majority of the wax, garaged or not, if toast after a month. unless you simply dont drive the car. but strip it anyway and rewax it. its worth it
