Question To Wax or Not To Wax?

Is it recommended to put an extra clear coat on the new cars?
What's a good thing to do on the new car to protect it from scratches and water spots and other little pieces of Sh*t?

I once had a 1975 Cyclone.

I needed it washed so I asked my 13 year old nephew to wash it for me.

He went to work and afterwards, came to get me to take a look.

I noticed severe scratches all over the place. I asked him what he used to clean it and he pulls out of the mirky bucket water, a friggin Brillo Pad.

Don't do that. It really takes away the shine. It'll be clean but the shine will be dulled.

Brillo??? I think I worked with your nephew in a long-ago scrub room in New Jersey.
