There is a service bulletin on this and they should replace your pads with the newer pads (which are the problem) and turn your rotors for you...

I've got the same car and same mileage, I noticed mine shaking last weekend on a trip. I'll be making the call today ... and I'm not planning on paying for it.

Hi,

My mom has the same problem with her TL. It began as early as 29,000 miles but may have started earlier. The service at Acura department told her they were "slightly out of round but would be good for 7,000 miles more." My question is about the TSB. Could anyone tell me how to get a copy of it? She is going it today with the car. It is now at 33,000 miles and warranty is still in effect for 2 monnths, unitl end of November.

Also I could not find an email link on the Acura website. If anyone could supply me with such info it would be appreciated.

Thanks & Peace,

Tom

Take it to the dealer and if they give you crap, tell them to pull up the TSB on it. Defin. covered under warranty.

Brought my 02 TL-S in to resurface the rotors and install new pads under warranty. The service rep. did'nt even ask anything more when I told him the steering wheel shakes violently while breaking in freeway speed.

when i had my friend turn my rotors, he noticed a pin rod in the caliper was frozen in one place. the other was sliding in and out fine .. he took it out and grinded the rust from the pin and lubricated it. only one caliper pin working is bad because it's putting pressure only on one side of the pad.
now, i don't know if this is the cause of warped rotors on most honda calipers but i know it will warp the rotors if a pin gets frozen in there.

Smile

Just brought my 02 TLS in with the warped rotor problem.

Service rep said they cover it to 20K - my car's at 22K and they resurfaced and put new pads in, no charge.

Also, I asked them to see how the transmission was doing. They did a free flush and refill.:p
