warped rotors
Going to get mine fixed @ the dealer tomorrow. What should I expect? Would they replace them or resurface them? What caused the warped rotors? I heard it was the brake pads. Will they put in new brake pads? How long should my car be out of commission? Thx 4 any info.

Mine were warped at 14,500 miles on my '02. Brought it to the dealer and they resurfaced them under warranty--no charge and no questions asked.
They didn't replace the pads, but that's no big deal. They weren't that worn yet anyway. The service advisor said the deal with the hard pads was on some '01s and '02s but not mine. But they did the work anyway, just no pad replacement.

They replaced my rotors once, resurfaced them once and replaced the pads once.
They took away the great (hard) pads that stopped well and substituted softer compound ones in their place.
I dislike them, that why I'm going with EBC Green brake pads.

They tried to resurface mine but it did'nt work so they replaced the rotors and brake pads. Acura knows about this defect and should'nt try to charge you anything or give you the run around.

i had my rotors and pads replaced at 10k miles on my 2002 TL-P from Curry Acura in White Plains, NY. No questions asked. Acura knows its a reoccuring problem and they will replace under warranty one time.
