Warped rotor help
Hey guys, so here's the story and let me know what I should do and any advices would be apprecaited.
This weekend while driving my steeting wheel started to shake when I was braking to go through a toll. At first I thought it was just the road but then it did it all the time. I'm assuming because I was driving hard and it's we out, the heat and the wet roads may have been a factor. Anyways, I called Acura today and they told me it may be under warranty because I had them replaced at around 25k miles..BUT I would have to pay for labor! WTF? if it's under warranty, why would I have to pay for labor? I asked her if someone bought a new car and 10k miles later the rotors warped, would they fix it and they said yes, so what's the difference? They replaced my rotors 10k miles ago and now they are warped again. They are going to take a look at it on Monday and then let me know, I told them it they won't fix it then I'm not going to do them at their dealership, gonna find another one that will fix it. If not, I'm going to upgrade. Where do I go to get someone to install rotors and pads? I'm not mechanically inclined where I would do them myself. Any suggestions in the Northern NJ area?

just had mine done for second time at dealer. They tried to say it would be my resp. too. I called client services and they told me rotors are covered under the warranty 50k...I told my dealer what they said and the service bulletin (do a search for the number i cant remember it) they have on this issue... he shut up and did it. I had to pay for new pads tho.

Each dealer is different....i had mine replaced the 1st time at 15k with new pads, and the 2nd time resurfaced at 22k with new pads. I didnt pay a dime!!! Drive them nuts until they fix it under warranty.

I really shouldn't bitch too much because I did want to upgrade to the brakes but it's the principal of things! If it's supposed to get done, it should be done.
