Post Want to spend around $2000

Folks-

I am a new TL owner and am looking forward to modifying my new car. I already have the factory dealer kit and wondered what each of you thought would be a good next step with a budget of approximately $2000 in mind. I don't want to suspension because I don't want to compromise ride quality, however, I am considering sway bars to improve cornering. In addition, I would like to do exhaust, but I would like to it to be as similar to factory system with regards to noise.

Thanks in advance! I will give you guys an update once I make a decision.

They make a huge dent in your wallet, too! But it's worth it! I'm waiting for spring on those..don't need that much power in the winter..

Upgrading your suspension to Comptech springs doesn't compromise ride much, it's like 20 percent stiffer than stock, and your car will look a whole lot better..that's the first thing I did, and that's the first thing you should do.. I have sways on order now, and the exhaust(comptech) is louder than stock, but it sounds sweet... As for intake, I don't like the sound of the ram intake or CAI, I have the Comptech filter element installed only, and it's barely louder than stock..just a little bit of a suction sound..doesn't get louder with speed...Hope this helps you out! Next u for me if I don't get a Type S when it comes out is Rims and brakes..

Well, if you do springs, sways, exhaust, and maybe a new set of performance tires, that, including install should put you up in the $2000 price range.

Springs $300 + install
Sways $300 + install
Exhaust $575 - install yourself
Tires $400 + install

Make sure you see Tim for these: http://www.acura-tl.com/Comptech.htm
