VTEC LIGHT INSTALLED finally

Ok, first I would like to thank everybody who helped me with all my questions in the previous posts. Finally I got it done AND IT WORKS!!!

For the light I picked one of those led that u buy in a pack of 4, the small ones you can stick on anything. I mounted it in the top left corner of the windshield.

1. Take the (-) from the led, connect it to one side of 330 OHM resistor (radio shack part 271-1113)

2. Take the other side of the resistor connect it to a wire and ground it.

For the (+) I started from the opposite end.

4. Jack up the front right side and take the tire off.

Right above the oil filter u will c a part with a wire plug like one for a headlight (thats not it). Look on the other side of the part and u'll c single green wire (its going to be covered by a rubber wire tube)

5. Splice into that green wire, run the wire back inside and connect it to the (+) of the led.

Worm up the car and have fun. The light WILL work. I just did it on my TL. If it doesn't check all the connections.

I would say 30 min to 1 hour ( with taking the tire off ) plus I took 2 sig breaks. The worst part is splicing the Vtec wire, its hard to get to with two hands. Oh and don't forget to disconnect the battery (-) before starting.
There is really nothing to take pics of. I put everything back together so I cant take a pic of the wire. And the led is very small you'll probably not going to c it unless it's on.

The leds are these:

So instead of having a VTEC written light in your cluster go on you have an LED light on the top of your windshield light up. I bet that is really cool!

personally i think that the light outside of the cluster looks better. You would be the only one seeing it if it were in the cluster. It would be kinda cool to have a big light on ur dash kinda like a tach that lights up with ur vtec

Do we have to take out the whole gauge cluster out, disassemble it to put VTEC indicator?

After looking at this thread i got an idea. like it or not...

I thought it would be cool to have strobes wired to VTEC so when i hit VTEC the strobes come on... but i wanna put a switch so i can have them off too... (cops)

How can i do that... im not very good in electricity... I heard NSX Pilot is good. Hit me up if you read that.

If anyone else know how. tell me. cuz i wanna do that but i dont know how..

Any help would be REALLY appreciated!!

Oh and you can talk to badazzTL about that too... He wants to do that do. but he didnt want to post cuz he's afraid of people saying he's a ricer.... :p
