VSS and GPS Question

I did a non navi to navi conversion, what is the purpose of the VSS wire that connects to the PCM?

And i notice on my navigation screen that the little globe at the top left hand corner light up yellow sometimes and then green, what does that mean?

does anyone have the manual for the acura navigation?

thanks

VSS wire that connects to the PCM is for if your GPS can't find satellite signal, it will use the electric pulse to determine your car speed & rotation, hence location. Yellow means ok signal, Green means good signal from satellite.
