Question VSA ON or OFF?

Anybody experiment with this at the track?

I think VSA OFF gives you better times, because my VSA engages when I leave it on and i floor the car off the line. Some people argue otherwise, but i cannot see how VSA ON could be better at the track.

I turn VSA off and get moving a tiny bit before I mash the throttle to the floor. It seems to work pretty well, though I definetly need to get to a track and perfect it. It's just a technique that I've come up with recently and I haven't gotten a huge amount of practice yet. If you can find somewhere just to run your car for 30 minutes, develop your own technique for what you think is the best launch. A track is even better since you get times taken for you..

I turn VSA off and lower my tire pressure. VSA is a bit too aggressive (closing the VSA throttle body and cutting power) so you don't get very good launches.

I haven't found the right tire pressure yet, though. My best 60' time is still a relatively high 2.35 with the tires at 26psi... they still spin too much.

Yep, the tire spinning thing makes me wonder if the launch would be more effective with VSA on. But if it is too aggresive as you observed, I guess we live with the tire spin...
