Vibration when braking

Sometimes when i brake i get a little vibration in the wheel and was wondering if moy rotors are screwed or could it just be a bad road surface, as it does not happen all the time. Also would getting the rotors turned be covered under warranty?

My wife's '02 has the same issue - I will be taking it in for the Tranny recall and will have them look at it. She is still under warranty, so I am hoping I can get them covered. Pads probably not, but I will argue the rotors.

There is a TSB on this somewhere (search) and the topic has been beeten to death. The rotors on Acura (mainly Honda) suck. I am in the middle of a disput with my dealer because they had to turn the rotors at 25K and they warped again at 40K (no suprise since they were thinner). So now I am riding on reduced grade defective rotors... I hope I don't have to break in an emergency manuver and have the rotors fail on me.

If you can't get them turned through warranty, I highly recommend you guys getting aftermarket rotors and pad. Just spend a little $$ and not worring about warp rotors.

if u feel a pulsation in the steering wheel when braking only...it is most likely the rotors. I took it in and the guy definitely said it was the rotors causing the problem. For now its okay...but I can feel the pulsation creeping back after some time.

I actually found the stock rotors on my 99 very good. The pads sucked. I bought the ceramic ones off TIRERACK and their great now.

it is definitely the rotor/pads. same thing happened to me and after re-surface the rotor and replacing the pads, it is a smooth drive again.

I have exact same problem. When I brake the steering wheel vibrate and the brake paddle vibrate as well. Before those vibrations occurred I got a loud "clink clink" noise when I am turning corners took it to the dealer they said my tires wear out uneven so they can't do anything with it. I either have to replace my tires or live with it. But I didn't buy what they told me cuz my tires only 30k on it. So I live with it until my tranny went completely out on me at 60K took to the dealer they replaced my tranny and found that the transmission mount was bad also they replaced all that the car was good for about over a month now the road noise is coming back and the vibration is coming back. But it's over 30 days since they replaced it and my warranty is over so I don't know what to do. So in your case I think your transmission mount is bad too.

They will only resurface the rotors for me and give me new pads.
