Very nice service experience yesterday

Took my TL-S in for the 15,000 Mile service, I gave them this list of things wrong with my car:

1. Brake Rotors Warped - Dealer replaced rotors and pads
2. Sunroof rattle came back - Dealer re-applied teflon tape
3. Center Vent Rattle - Entire dash piece orderd

I asked them not to wash the car becuase I dont trust them, they washed it anyway and did a fantastic job. They even lubed up my tires and cleaned the interior.

They gave me a nice loaner car.

Took 25% of my service bill.

Car was ready when they said it would be.

Dealer was Davies Acura in Langhorne, PA.

If you don't mind sharing, what did you pay for the 15K service?

I am pretty sure that most dealers charge $200 for the 15k service. I had a 25% off coupon which I used to get that price. I dont think that you got ripped off, I just got a good deal.

I paid $199 (including tax) and they also replaced rotors and brake pads. This was at Ed Voyles Acura.

Davis Acura is a good dealership!

Just picked up my Silver Stain Metallic '03 TLS-Navi yesterday. My salesperson was named Dean. He was a stand up guy.

Outisde of one of the prep kids not listening to instructions the entire process was excellent!

I remember I stopped by to check out the TLS at night and the Manager (JOE) was the only one there. He handed me the keys and said keep it under 120 and come back before we close in an hour. Everyone that I dealt with there was very nice, service department is top notch as well.

The dealer replaced the rotors and pads for free?

That is unreal.

No offense to your driving but from a dealer stand point that would be considered your own fault for your driving style.

Either way that is some great service you got. If this is true I'm about to go in and get my warped rotors changed

No offense taken but it wasnt my fault, I am not hard on the brakes at all. I remember we had a company car one time, a Chrysler LHS something, at 9k the rotors warped and the dealer refused to cover any of it, insisting that rotors were not covered and its normal wear and tear.

Dont think it was yours, I purchased my car last July - It was a White non-navi TLS but even so I didnt abuse the car at all. Just went for a nice calm test drive around town.

I know a good Acura certified Master Mechanic who will work on your car (side job) for fraction of dealer cost. He is in Houston of course...

give me a call at 713-822-5644 and i'll hook you up with him.

Hi AJay,

After they replaced the dash piece (I assume you are
talking about the cluster panel that moulded with the
center air vent), does it stop the rattling?

Please advise,
